Arterial procedures, such as abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, carotid artery surgery and peripheral artery bypass operations, are often performed to avert a limb or a life loss, and may be quite complex.
We perform these procedures at private hospitals, which are fully equipped for the safe performance of major operations with dedicated vascular anaesthetists and a specialized Intensive Care Unit.
We take the necessary precautions at all times to prevent complications. As in any surgical procedure, however, complications may occur, considering that these operations are commonly performed on elderly patients with multiple medical problems. The extensive preoperative investigations we do and our systematic postoperative care intend to recognise any problem promptly for immediate management. We are able to deal successfully with any unpredictable technical difficulty which may arise during a vascular operation.
